Students of the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University can benefit from student exchange programs offered in line with the University’s internationalization goals. Students who meet the relevant requirements and where a valid agreement exists between the institutions may participate in international exchange programs, particularly Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies.
Outgoing Exchange Students
Students enrolled in the Department of Nursing have the opportunity to study for a certain period at partner higher education institutions within the scope of Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies. Application requirements, evaluation criteria, quotas, partner institutions, and application dates for each academic year are announced by the International Relations Office of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
The courses to be taken by students at the host institution are determined through a Learning Agreement prepared before the mobility period. Course selection is planned collaboratively by the student, academic advisor, and Departmental Erasmus Coordinator, taking into account the student’s academic program and learning outcomes. Courses successfully completed during the mobility period and deemed academically appropriate are recognized in accordance with the relevant regulations and University procedures.
Incoming Exchange Students
Students wishing to study at the Department of Nursing within the scope of Erasmus+ or other international exchange programs must be nominated by their home institution, and a valid agreement covering the relevant field of study must exist between their institution and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
Course selection and Learning Agreements for incoming students are coordinated between their home institution and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. Their academic processes are planned with the support of the Departmental Erasmus Coordinator and relevant academic units. The International Relations Office provides the necessary information and guidance regarding registration, course selection, and administrative procedures related to the mobility period.
As nursing education includes laboratory and clinical practice in addition to theoretical courses, prerequisites, characteristics of clinical practice settings, and academic suitability are taken into consideration when planning the courses and practical training of exchange students.
