Program Objectives of the MSKU Department of Nursing

Program Outcomes (POs)
PO1. Graduates provide holistic and evidence-based nursing care aligned with the nursing process to meet the health care needs of individuals, families, and communities, within their roles, authorities, and responsibilities in relevant health care institutions and/or organizations.
PO2. Graduates apply professional values and ethical principles in nursing practice, education, management, and research; utilize effective communication skills, information systems, and care technologies; and fulfill their roles and responsibilities through collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
PO3. Graduates continuously pursue personal and professional development by integrating changes and advancements in health care into the services they provide.

Performance Indicators
PO1.a) At least 80% of graduates are employed in health care institutions and organizations within the first two years after graduation.
PO1.b) In internal and external stakeholder evaluations, at least 80% of respondents indicate “partially agree” or “agree” regarding the achievement of program outcomes.

PO2.a) At least 80% of graduates adhere to professional values and ethical principles in nursing care services.
PO2.b) At least 80% of graduates effectively utilize communication skills in nursing practice.
PO2.c) At least 80% of graduates use information systems and care technologies in nursing care.
PO2.d) At least 80% of graduates work collaboratively within interdisciplinary health care teams.
PO2.e) The satisfaction rate of individuals receiving care from graduates exceeds 70%, as measured by the Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Care Scale (≥70 points).

PO3.a) At least 5% of graduates enroll in postgraduate education programs within the first five years after graduation.
PO3.b) At least 10% of graduates participate in scientific activities such as courses, seminars, congresses, certification programs, or training related to their field of practice within the first two years after graduation.

Program Learning Outcomes (Qualifications) of the MSKU Department of Nursing
  1. Possesses the fundamental knowledge and skills required by the nursing profession.
  2. Utilizes up-to-date scientific knowledge and technology in nursing practice.
  3. Provides holistic and evidence-based care by applying the nursing process.
  4. Performs nursing functions in accordance with legal regulations and ethical principles.
  5. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with individuals, families, communities, and team members.
  6. Participates in research, projects, and scientific activities related to the nursing profession.
  7. Employs critical thinking and problem-solving skills in fulfilling professional roles and responsibilities.
  8. Follows and shares developments in the field of nursing and uses a foreign language in fulfilling nursing roles.
  9. Embraces lifelong learning for professional and personal development.
