Duties of the Committee
  1. The Education Committee provides opinions and recommendations on the matters listed below upon the request of the Dean’s Office, the Faculty Administrative Board, the Faculty Board, and the Head of the Department.
  2. It carries out activities related to the revision and updating of the undergraduate curriculum in line with the requests and feedback of internal and external stakeholders.
  3. It makes recommendations for improvements in education and training processes.
  4. It provides feedback on proposals regarding the introduction of new courses, the removal of existing courses, or modifications to current courses within the curriculum.
  5. It reviews and evaluates national and international regulations regarding nursing education and makes suggestions for improving the educational curriculum accordingly.
  6. It convenes at the end of each semester of the academic year to evaluate improvement proposals concerning educational processes.
  7. At the end of the academic year, it prepares an “Annual Activity Report” and submits it to the Head of the Department.

Duties of the Committee
  1. In collaboration with academic departments and other committees, monitors the functioning of the measurement and evaluation system, determines the methods to be used in assessing the effectiveness of the educational program, provides consultancy, and submits recommendations to the administration regarding strategies that positively impact learning through assessment methods.
  2. Defines and updates the rules and processes related to examinations and student evaluation.
  3. Identifies objective assessment and evaluation methods for educational activities and makes recommendations to the relevant boards, committees, and academic departments.
  4. Evaluates data obtained during the measurement and evaluation processes and submits analytical reports to the Head of the Department.
  5. Assesses the alignment of measurement and evaluation activities with the faculty's educational objectives and learning outcomes and conveys the results to the Department Head.
  6. Organizes scientific events such as training courses and seminars for academic staff to enhance measurement and evaluation practices.
  7. Coordinates necessary efforts to establish and update a question bank in collaboration with academic departments.
  8. Collects exam item analysis results prepared by the responsible course instructors.
  9. Informs course instructors about the post-exam question analysis outcomes and provides suggestions for revising exam items.
  10. Analyzes item difficulty indices at the end of each exam period and prepares reports to inform the relevant academic departments.
  11. Ensures the implementation of performance analyses to be used in the evaluation of the educational program.
  12. Identifies issues and potential solutions related to measurement and evaluation and submits them to the Department Head to be shared with all educational stakeholders.

Duties of the Committee
  1. Follows the decisions and current developments regarding accreditation made by the Higher Education Council, University, and Faculty Quality Boards; conducts planning activities for HEPDAK program accreditation in line with the established principles.
  2. Ensures coordination among departmental committees to enhance the Quality Assurance System.
  3. Coordinates the preparation of HEPDAK Self-Assessment Reports.
  4. Oversees the preparation of documents and materials to be submitted to the HEPDAK Accreditation Evaluation Team.
  5. Conducts activities to collect the necessary data for the HEPDAK Self-Assessment Report (e.g., organizing surveys, internal and external stakeholder meetings, etc.).
  6. Holds meetings at least twice a year, makes decisions, and monitors their implementation.
  7. Reports the decisions taken and activity reports of the committee to the Head of the Department.

Duties of the Committee
  1. This committee is designed to facilitate the orientation and adaptation processes of newly enrolled students in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
  2. The program particularly aims to support first-year students in adapting to both the department and the nursing profession by fostering communication with students from other academic years.
  3. The Peer Mentorship Program at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Nursing is implemented under the guidance of third-year students and is supervised by the Peer Mentorship Committee.
  4. Within the program, third-year students are designated as “Mentors,” and first-year students are designated as “Mentees.” Mentor students guide and support the Mentee students.
Within the scope of the Peer Mentorship Program, the following topics are addressed based on student needs:
  • Campus and faculty life
  • Student services provided by the university
  • Faculty mission, vision, goals, and program outcomes
  • Course selection, registration, and practical training
  • Scientific and social activities
  • Scholarship opportunities
  • Career planning
  • And other relevant topics based on student-specific needs

Duties of the Committee
  1. Evaluates class placement and course exemptions for students transferring between institutions or within the institution through horizontal transfer.
  2. Handles the class placement and course exemption procedures for students transferring via Central Placement (YKS Horizontal Transfer).
  3. Manages the adaptation and exemption procedures for students admitted through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
  4. Processes the adaptation procedures for students registered under special student status.
  5. Determines the equivalents of courses from other higher education institutions and conducts the grade conversions for those deemed eligible for exemption.
  6. Collaborates with relevant committees within the faculty.
  7. Records all activities carried out by the committee and submits them to the Head of the Department and the Faculty Administrative Board.

Duties of the Committee
  1. Collects the contact information of alumni through designated platforms and maintains communication with them individually or collectively throughout the year.
  2. Informs alumni about the benefits and activities of the committee.
  3. Adds the contact details of newly graduated students to relevant lists or groups created on these platforms following graduation.
  4. Organizes events such as seminars, training sessions, workshops, and alumni reunions that alumni can benefit from or contribute to throughout the year.
  5. Is responsible for developing measurement tools and methods to monitor alumni career development and employment status in line with the faculty’s strategic plan and objectives, sharing the obtained results and information with relevant units, and providing academic departments with recommendations regarding alumni career development based on these findings.

Duties of the Committee
  1. Documents and archives the physical conditions of the department (classrooms and clinical practice areas) by photographing and recording them.
  2. Identifies the needs related to the department’s physical infrastructure and educational materials.
  3. Prepares improvement proposals for the infrastructure in accordance with HEPDAK accreditation criteria.
  4. Reports any malfunction or damage related to educational materials to the Dean’s Office.
  5. Develops guidelines for the use of clinical practice areas for educational and research purposes.
  6. Conducts studies to ensure workplace safety and the implementation of necessary security systems within clinical practice areas.
  7. Monitors activities related to waste management.
  8. Carries out continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing the department’s infrastructure.
  9. Records all activities conducted by the committee and submits periodic reports to the Department Board.

ERASMUS COORDINATOR

Purpose
The Erasmus Plus Exchange Program is a European Union initiative aimed at promoting cooperation among higher education institutions. It provides financial support for the development and implementation of joint projects, as well as for short-term student and staff exchanges. In addition, it encourages the enhancement of the higher education system in alignment with the needs of the business world by fostering relationships and collaboration between universities and professional environments. The program also aims to improve the employability of university graduates by strengthening these connections.

FARABI COORDINATOR

Purpose
The aim of the Farabi Exchange Program is to support higher education institutions in developing joint projects and to facilitate the exchange of students and academic staff between institutions by providing the necessary resources and collaboration opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Website Coordinator
  1. The Website Coordinator is authorized and responsible for managing and executing content-related operations and administrative processes of the departmental website on behalf of the Dean’s Office.
  2. The Website Coordinator ensures the proper functioning of the system and the timely completion of all related tasks.
  3. Updates the content of the Nursing Department website, including announcements, course and exam schedules, and forms related to academic departments.
  4. Uploads changes made to course and exam schedules to the website following the approval of the Administrative Board.
  5. Publishes information and documents specified in detail in the Web Announcement Form—sent via email by academic and administrative staff to hemsirelik@mu.edu.tr—on the Nursing Department website (announcements must be in PDF format; posters and images must be in JPEG format).
  6. Ensures that emails sent to hemsirelik@mu.edu.tr are archived for one year, and that documents published on the website are securely stored indefinitely in digital format via the Environment-Library system.
  7. Each January, collects information from academic staff regarding the previous year, including completed theses, scientific projects, book chapters, and editorial roles, and updates the website accordingly.
