Peer Mentoring Training and Meet-and-Greet Held as Part of the Peer Mentoring Program

As part of the 2026–2027 Academic Year Peer Mentoring Program of the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Peer Mentoring Training was held on September 23, 2026, for students selected to serve as peer mentors.

During the training, peer mentors were provided with information about the purpose and scope of the Peer Mentoring Program, their roles and responsibilities, and the implementation process of the program.
Following the training, a Peer–Mentor–Faculty Advisor Meeting was held with the participation of first-year students, peer mentors, and faculty members responsible for the program. The meeting provided an opportunity for students to meet their peer mentors and faculty advisors and to learn more about how the program will be implemented.
The Peer Mentoring Program aims to support first-year students in adapting to university and departmental life, help them benefit from peer support throughout their academic and social experiences, and strengthen communication and solidarity among students.
