A Meaningful Event from the Nursing Society for International Women’s Day

The Nursing Society of the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, organized a meaningful event under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Birgili to raise awareness on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day.
As part of the event, marteniçka bracelets prepared by the students were distributed to academic and administrative staff as well as students across the university campus.

Through these bracelets, which symbolize the arrival of spring, hope, and good wishes, the event aimed to draw attention to the value of women's labor while also conveying a message of solidarity and unity. Throughout the event, members of the society sought to raise awareness about the historical significance of International Women’s Day and the important roles women play in social life.

Students of the Nursing Society emphasized the importance of highlighting women’s labor, struggles, and contributions to society on this meaningful day.
